Manchester United\u2019s planned midfield revamp finally seems to have been concluded following Carlos Baleba\u2019s arrival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Michael Carrick<\/a> needs next is a left-back, someone who can eventually succeed Luke Shaw<\/a> moving forward.<\/p>\n

According to talkSPORT<\/a>, the La Liga champions want as much as \u00a338.5 million (\u20ac45million), while the 20-time English league champions prefer a loan deal with an option to buy.<\/p>\n

It seems to be a response to the Camp Nou outfit choosing not to sign Marcus Rashford permanently despite his successful loan spell in Spain.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the report suggests that Old Trafford chiefs have played down the chances of a deal materialising between both parties this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cManchester United target Alejandro Balde has been valued at \u20ac45million (\u00a338.5m) by Barcelona, talkSPORT understands. However, the Red Devils would prefer a loan deal for the left-back.<\/p>\n

If not Alejandro Balde, it remains to be seen who INEOS can bring in before the window slams shut. They certainly need bodies there, especially if Harry Amass also leaves<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other targets include David Raum<\/a> and Joaquin Seys<\/a>, while United are expected to return for Hall<\/a> next summer. This explains why the club are refusing to spend big on a backup option.<\/p>\n
