Numerous players were discussed, from Valdepenas (now at Fiorentina) and Pitarch to Brahim Diaz.

The RedBird Capital owner began direct discussions with Florentino Perez and came forward with a focus on Ruben Amorim’s true target: the Brazilian talent Endrick.

Willing to wait

Milan’s interest in Endrick stems from an observation: Real Madrid have a strong attack. With the new signing Diomande joining Vinicius, Bellingham, Brahim Diaz, Mbappe, and Espi, there are plenty of options for Jose Mourinho.

This could have a knock-on effect on Endrick, as the former Lyon player risks getting very little playing time, but this scenario doesn’t seem to worry either the 20-year-old or Real Madrid.

Photo by Jose Manuel Alvarez Rey/Getty Images

The message that reached Milan and other contenders was this: ‘Endrick isn’t leaving, at least until the next transfer window’. The Brazilian wants to play in the Champions League with Real Madrid, confident he can carve out a significant role for himself.

Cardinale has accepted Real Madrid’s and the player’s position, reiterating that he is always ready to initiate negotiations should there be any signs of openness. This could be in the final hours of the summer window or, in the worst-case scenario, postponing the discussion until January.

Milan want Endrick because they consider him perfect for their project and capable of offering a different solution. If Madrid were to open the door, then the Rossoneri would be ready to sign Endrick.

Cardinale is also open to a permanent signing of Endrick, although the young talent is worth a lot to Real Madrid (over €60m), and so he wouldn’t mind a loan move to see how things go from there.

Endrick isn’t just a midsummer dream for AC Milan but a concrete target they’re trying to land, and…

[4
82
post-78553","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-madrid","tag-madrid
["GET
