Sanchez told Spanish radio network <a data-ylk=\"slk:Cadena SER;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/cadenaser.com\/cadena-ser\/hoy-por-hoy\/?ftag=YHF4eb9d17\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Cadena SER<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He said research by the European External Action Service (EEAS), the European Union&#8217;s diplomatic service, indicated links with Israeli and Russian networks, but he gave no further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;It is evident that if Russia gets involved in spreading disinformation on this issue, or Israel also spreads disinformation on this issue, criticizing the Spanish government, it will not be because they are concerned about migration in Spain or Europe, but precisely because of the political positions we are taking \u2014 courageous ones, I believe \u2014 regarding the genocide in Gaza or Putin&#8217;s invasion of Ukraine,&#8221; S\u00e1nchez said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The EEAS did not immediately respond to a CBS News request for comment on the research cited by S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Spain has strongly supported Ukraine since Russia launched its ongoing full-scale invasion in February 2022, and S\u00e1nchez has been one of the most outspoken European critics of Israel&#8217;s conduct in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Spain condemned the Hamas attacks and, immediately afterward, condemned the genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli authorities in the Gaza Strip,&#8221; and the spread of misleading information online.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Israeli official says S\u00e1nchez &#8220;lying shamelssly&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar blasted S\u00e1nchez&#8217;s remarks as &#8220;brazen lies&#8221; on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Prime Minister @sanchezcastejon is lying shamelessly,&#8221; Saar wrote in a <a data-ylk=\"slk:post on X;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/gidonsaar\/status\/2094397843679203631?ftag=YHF4eb9d17\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">post on X<\/a>. &#8220;In his interview with Cadena SER today, he lied again, astonishingly accusing Israel of disseminating misleading information regarding the events in Ceuta. added Saar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Senior Israeli officials have publicly attacked Spain over its handling of the Ceuta crisis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Spain, which never misses an opportunity to lecture Israel, has declared a state of emergency in Ceuta following the crisis over its immigration policy,&#8221;
