Raphinha at his best<\/p>\n
Bar\u00e7a have made an impressive start in front of goal this season, scoring 10 times in their opening three games, with Raphinha responsible for five of them. If the Brazilian scores against Valencia, he will equal Kubala, R\u00e9 and Cesc, who all found the net in each of the first four league games of a season. Ibrahimovic and C\u00e9sar are the only Bar\u00e7a players to have done so in five consecutive matches.<\/p>\n
Last dance at Mestalla<\/p>\n
Bar\u00e7a will visit Mestalla for the final time this Sunday. If everything goes according to schedule, Valencia are set to move to the Nou Mestalla for the 2027\/28 season.<\/p>\n
Opened in 1923, Mestalla is therefore approaching the end of more than a century of history. Bar\u00e7a have played 115 games there, winning 43, drawing 30 and losing 42.<\/p>\n
Hansi Flick’s debut<\/p>\n
Hansi Flick made his competitive debut as Bar\u00e7a coach at Mestalla. On 17 August 2024, his side came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to two Robert Lewandowski goals after Hugo Duro had put Valencia ahead. It earned Bar\u00e7a their first three points of a 2024\/25 Liga campaign that ultimately ended with the title.<\/p>\n
Favourite victim<\/p>\n
With 20 goals in five games, Valencia are the side against whom Flick\u2019s Bar\u00e7a have the highest scoring average, at four goals per game. Across those five meetings (four in La Liga and one in the Copa del Rey) Bar\u00e7a have recorded four wins and one defeat: victories by 2-1, 7-1, 5-0 and 6-0, with the other game ending in a 3-1 defeat.<\/p>\n
