{"id":82035,"date":"2026-09-07T13:27:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T13:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/82035\/"},"modified":"2026-09-07T13:27:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T13:27:11","slug":"hansi-flick-surpasses-guardiola-and-luis-enrique-with-incredible-barcelona-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/82035\/","title":{"rendered":"Hansi Flick surpasses Guardiola and Luis Enrique with incredible Barcelona record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hansi Flick\u2019s remarkable Barcelona reign has produced another piece of club history, with the German manager breaking two records after Sunday\u2019s emphatic victory over Valencia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/the-five-goal-tradition-rodris-debut-league-leaders-three-takeaways-from-valencia-0-5-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Barcelona\u2019s 5-0 win at Mestalla<\/a> completed a perfect opening four matchdays and gave Flick\u2019s side the best start in La Liga history in terms of goal difference.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-make-history-after-scoring-17-goals-in-first-four-la-liga-games-but-there-is-a-warning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bar\u00e7a have scored 17 goals<\/a> and conceded just two, leaving them with a remarkable +15 differential.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The achievement comes shortly after <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/hansi-flick-breaks-johan-cruyffs-barcelona-record-after-valencia-thrashing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Flick surpassed Johan Cruyff<\/a> for the most matchdays spent at the top of La Liga by a Barcelona manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, another chapter has been added to his rapidly growing legacy at the club.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona smash historic goal difference record<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sport.es\/es\/noticias\/barca\/flick-cosecha-mejor-inicio-liguero-historia-barca-barcelona-guardiola-luis-enrique-134022273\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SPORT<\/a>, Barcelona\u2019s +15 goal difference after four matches surpasses the previous club record of +11.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/valencia-cf-v-fc-barcelona-laliga-ea-sports-2026-27-1-1024x671.jpg\" alt=\"Barcelona coach Hansi Flick after Valencia win\" class=\"wp-image-211942\"  \/>Hansi Flick is breaking Barcelona records left, right and centre. (Photo by David Ramos\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">James Bellamy\u2019s 1929\/30 side, Pep Guardiola\u2019s 2009\/10 team and Luis Enrique\u2019s 2014\/15 squad had all previously shared the benchmark.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each recorded four victories with a +11 goal difference during their respective starts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flick\u2019s current side have emphatically gone beyond that mark, as the 17 goals scored across four games have been accompanied by only two conceded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bar\u00e7a have also matched the second-best start in La Liga history when it comes to goal difference.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Real Madrid\u2019s 1958\/59 team scored 19 goals and conceded four across their opening four fixtures, producing a +15 differential.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The all-time record, however, remains with another Real Madrid side. (Photo by David Ramos\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interestingly, Barcelona\u2019s current scoring figures are not their best-ever after four matches.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The club scored 19 goals in the opening four games of the 1949\/50 campaign and 21 in 1950\/51.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neither of those teams, however, won all four matches, meaning Flick\u2019s start stands apart for its combination of goals, results and defensive efficiency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the German has now broken another record based purely on victories.
