Meknes \u2013 Eric Garcia will wear a protective face mask in the upcoming match against Levante after suffering a broken nose following an accidental collision with teammate Rodri in Sunday\u2019s match against Valencia.<\/p>\n

Despite the injury, the Catalan player was back at the training facility this morning, completing the entire session without any issues.<\/p>\n

According to Marca<\/a>, the 25-year-old player took to the field fitted with a protective face mask, a required piece of gear he will have to wear for his upcoming appearances.<\/p>\n

Garcia\u2019s appearance against Valencia came to an early end when he was forced off less than thirty minutes into the match following an accidental clash with teammate Rodri.<\/p>\n

Playing as a temporary right-back, Garcia took a hard hit to the face, with medical tests later confirming a broken nose.<\/p>\n

While Garcia will sit out Wednesday\u2019s Champions League fixture against Feyenoord due to suspension, he is set to return for Sunday\u2019s league clash with Levante.<\/p>\n

The defender has been cleared to play in that match, though he will be sporting a protective face mask to safeguard his injured nose.<\/p>\n

Playing with a face mask will not be a new experience for the versatile player, who has previously had to wear protective equipment on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Last November, the Barcelona defender suffered a similar nasal injury during a Champions League match against Club Brugge, after clashing heads with Vermant in an aerial duel.<\/p>\n

That fracture kept him in a mask for several weeks, though he adjusted to playing with the extra gear with minimal trouble.<\/p>\n
