The purpose of this berm construction is to act as a visual and sound barrier. The construction on the new theme park would sit just behind Disney’s Sequoia Lodge. Disney is required to build the park before March 24, 2036. The agreement between the French government and Disney says the park can be built if annual attendance goes over 22 million. The attendance in 2025 was roughly 15.5 million.
