What do you love about tennis?: I really like the mentality of it, especially during singles matches, because it kind of pushes me out of my comfort zone and it prevents me from beating myself down even after making a couple of mistakes. That really just helps me in life in general.
Most memorable moment in tennis: Last year, one of our matches actually got canceled because it was rained out. So our whole team decided to go to Cracker Barrel, and I got to skip school.
Most embarrassing moment in tennis: Freshman year, during a singles match. I forget who I was playing, but my opponent, she hit a really short shot, and I was still at the baseline, so I sprinted to get it and I almost fell over the net.
Most difficult moment in tennis: Probably my singles match I just played like three weeks ago during regional semifinals. It was probably the most mentally and physically challenging, because it lasted over three hours, and I did lose, but even though I did lose, I’m still very proud of myself, because I still pushed through it. (Wolf lost to Fort Defiance’s Savanna Monger 5-7, 7-5, 10-3.)
Three people you can have dinner with, dead or alive: My great-grandma. She turned 100 last year and I’d want to know her perspective on what she saw throughout her life. Neil Armstrong, just because he went to the moon and I’d want to know what that was like, or even being in space in general. And Michael Jackson because his life was pretty interesting. He’s probably my favorite music artist, and he is one of the best artists of all time.
Biggest athletic influence: [Clarke County head] coach Ted [Schulhof] because he’s just helped me through every match. He’s helped me push through it mentally, and he just inspires me to get better at tennis every day.
Favorite teacher: Ms. [Shelby] Miller. She was my English teacher last year. She just introduced me to a lot of ideas and past problems that I really never have thought of. And she really just made me enjoy English, like reading and writing, and I’ve never really liked doing that until this year.

Plans after high school: I plan to go to college after high school. Hopefully, at Virginia Tech, because that’s where my sister goes. I’d want to probably major in something medical-related, just because I’ve been interested in that for a while. There’s a lot of stuff that we don’t know yet about medicine and viruses, and even like cancer and sicknesses, and I’d really want to study that.
