Swan’s return game is very weak in comparison to Keys, which will make her vulnerable.

Playing Styles & Prediction

It was a pinch-me moment for Katie Swan to advance to the second round for the second time, having struggled for years with many injury issues. She had even considered coaching for a while, but she will walk out onto No. 1 Court to face Madison Keys.

Keys has a game built for grass and has lifted the titles in Birmingham and in Eastbourne three times including this season. Keys did have to come from behind to book her spot in the second round.

Swan will have fervent support, as the only British female left standing in the women’s singles, but Keys’ experience and power will be too much for this year’s ‘plucky’ Brit.

Prediction: Keys in straight sets.
