Aussie tennis star Bernard Tomic was labelled “a disgrace” for a horror service game during his brutal 51-minute defeat at the Los Cabos Open.
Tomic, 33, revealed earlier this month he had been contemplating retirement, before he roared back to win the Lincoln Classic.

And his unlikely return to form looked set to continue in Mexico this week as he thrashed Alex Hernandez in just 46 minutes — the quickest ATP match this year.

The 2011 Wimbledon quarter-finalist then followed that up with his biggest victory since 2018 as he claimed a hugely impressive straight-sets win over World No. 26 Karen Khachanov.
But that positive momentum was burst in emphatic fashion in the quarter-finals on Friday (AEST) as Briton Cameron Norrie claimed an embarrassingly one-sided 6-1 6-0 victory over the Aussie.
Tomic won the opening game, but then went on to lose a remarkable 12 on the bounce as he was humbled well inside the hour mark.
Incredibly, he racked up 40 unforced errors.
And the worst part of the match for Tomic came in his final service game of the first set.
After winning the opening point, he lazily sent two forehands wide, before softly dragging a third into the middle of the net.
With Tomic 15-40 down, he then produced a double fault to giftwrap the first set for World No. 39 Norrie with an atrocious game.
And fans on social media were left furious as footage of the nightmare began circulating online.
Fan Melo said: “Nah Bernard Tomic is actually hilarious. Is there not a rule in tennis where you have to try your best at all times or something, or at least make it look like you are trying a bit?
“This is the most lackadaisical service game I have ever seen.”
While another tennis fanatic added: “This guy Bernard Tomic. A disgrace to tennis.”
Jay Reighty reacted: “The quickest match in tennis history.”
Fred Duval replied: “Bernard Tomic, why are you even here?”
And WorldWideZack said: “What’s everyone’s thoughts on that Bernard Tomic match? Bizarre is an understatement.”
Tomic has been known to suffer heavy losses in the past — and holds the record for the quickest ATP match ever when he lost to Jarkko Nieminen in just 28 minutes back in 2014.
He reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open three times between 2012 and 2016.
But it was at Wimbledon in 2011 where his deepest Slam run was ended in the quarter-finals by eventual champion Novak Djokovic.
