A DOUBLES pairing from Redditch have made history after triumphing in the under-18 girls doubles at the prestigious Play Your Way to Wimbledon event.
Grace Hadley and Mia Sztorc, from Redditch, secured victory on the Aorangi Practice Courts at The All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon.

After successfully progressing through the club qualification, Hadley and Sztorc advanced to the country stage where they finished in first place to secure their place at Wimbeldon.

And the pair, both aged 14-years-old, won every match without dropping a set in the group stage to comfortably secure their place in the quarter-finals.

Hadley and Sztorc then won 7-6, 6-3 in the quarter-finals to reach the last four.

The pair won the opening set of their semi-final clash but dropped their first set as the last four clash went to a deciding tie-break.

However, Hadley and Sztorc held their nerve to triumph 10-3 in the tie-break to secure a place in the final.

The Redditch duo maintained their composure in a high-quality final to win 7-6, 7-6 in straight sets after a thrilling battle.

Hadley and Sztorc duly lifted the Play Your Way to Wimbledon under-18 girls doubles trophy to become the first players from the county to triumph in the competition.
