World-class tennis returns to Winston-Salem August 22-29
The 2026 Winston-Salem Open returns August 22 – August 29 for the 15th anniversary at the Wake Forest University Tennis Complex.

Former champions Sebastian Baez, Lorenzo Sonego, Adrian Mannarino, and Pablo Carreno Busta return as part of a deep 2026 player field.

“As we celebrate our 15th anniversary, we’re excited to welcome another outstanding field of players to Winston-Salem,” said Tournament Director Jeff Ryan. “This year’s entry list features an exciting mix of former champions, rising stars, and fan favorites that will make for an incredible week of tennis.”
Ryan joined WXII 12’s Audrey Biesk for a sit down interview previewing the tournament. He announced two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas and rising star, Cruz Hewitt were both awarded wild cards.
Former World No. 1 and 2018 Champion Daniil Medvedev was also awarded a wild card.
