Morgan Riddle is wrapping up her solo New York City summer in style
Four months after the influencer’s split from her tennis pro boyfriend Taylor Fritz, she opens up to PEOPLE about whether she’s reentered the dating scene in N.Y.C.

Morgan Riddle is wrapping up her solo New York City summer in style.
It seems like the 29-year-old influencer has been everywhere over the last few months: She was partying in the streets when the New York Knicks won their first championship title in over a half century, serving looks at the 2026 ESPY Awards, vacationing in Croatia, and, of course, attending some of the first matches of the US Open earlier this week.
“It’s been a really great summer,” Riddle tells PEOPLE in an interview to promote a new partnership with 7UP. “I just got a dog, and have been having lots of fun with friends, so it’s been a really good couple of months.”
The dog in question is Bagel, a five-pound Chihuahua whom she called her “17th foster and first foster fail” in a sweet Instagram caption introducing her to the world earlier in August.
“I grew up with Chihuahuas,” she says. “I had no desire to actually adopt a dog, and then the first day that I had her — picked her up to foster — I just fell in love with her and adopted her immediately.”
In April, Riddle made headlines when PEOPLE confirmed that she and her boyfriend, pro tennis player Taylor Fritz, had broken up after six years of dating. (Later that day, the influencer posted a cheeky nod to the split, sharing a grainy photo of herself wearing a cropped white baby tee with red lettering that read “World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend,” as part of a photo dump on Instagram.)

In June, she told Elle that she and Fritz were “on good terms” but that she had vowed to “never date an athlete again.” Speaking to PEOPLE the same month, Riddle acknowledged her “support system of friends and family” as she moved into a solo era in N.Y.C.
Now four months after the split, when asked if she’s dipped her toes into the Big Apple’s notorious dating scene, she has a blunt response: “Nope.”
“No thoughts,” she adds. “Not involved in that.”
Dating Fritz or not, the content creator — who was once dubbed “the most famous woman in men’s tennis” by The New York Times — still has time for the sport, with plans to attend a handful of US Open matches this year. And to make matters sweeter, she’s also starring in a new campaign with 7UP for the launch of their lime-forward version of their classic lemon-lime soda.
“I grew up drinking 7UP — my mom never let me drink pop unless it was 7UP,” she tells PEOPLE. “I thought it was just a fun campaign to do and bring back a childhood drink for me.”
In the ad, stylized as an informational, Riddle dons a “Lululime” jacket — what you get when you mix 7UP and athleisure. (She was even spotted wearing the green jacket at the US Open on Sunday, Aug. 30!)

Though the campaign shows off Riddle’s lighthearted side, she isn’t afraid to use her social media platforms to tackle more serious issues, too.
Earlier this month, the creator opened up about how a former “close friend” allegedly tried to drug her by pouring a powdered substance into her drink while she wasn’t looking. Riddle said in her TikTok video about the experience that she had sent herself an email about the incident the next morning as a form of “contemporaneous documentation” — a way of documenting it should it be necessary for legal reasons down the road.

“I’ve always felt there’s not really any purpose in coming forward with something super personal like that on the internet unless it’s to the benefit of other people,” she says of the choice to share her story online.
“Anyone who I’ve ever told that to in my personal life — they’re like, ‘Oh, that’s such a smart idea, I’ve never heard anyone say to do that before,’ ” Riddle continues. “I have a very large platform, and even after posting that, I got a lot of messages from women and girls that they utilized that advice in recent weeks, which is horrifying but just a good reminder of why women sharing information on the internet is so important.”
Adds the influencer: “I’ve always had pretty strong opinions about things, and have never… have never really treated my platform as if it was a business entity, but more of a platform for purpose. I’ll be outspoken about things that I think a lot of other creators won’t get within 10 feet of.”
