After another dominant week to close the season, unbeaten Winchester holds onto the top spot in the Globe Top 20 girls\u2019 tennis poll. The Red & Black enjoyed 5-0 victories over No. 11 Belmont<\/a>, Reading<\/a>, and Marblehead<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Second-ranked Newton South added another statement win to its r\u00e9sum\u00e9, defeating No. 6 Westford, 5-0, on Monday. Lexington leaps into the fourth spot to finish the season after fending off two difficult opponents: Belmont and No. 8 Arlington. <\/p>\n

Another riser in the rankings was No. 14 Acton-Boxborough, which emerged, 3-2, in a battle with Division 1 title contender, Westborough, on Wednesday. The top new entrant was No. 13 Wellesley, who impressed with a 3-2 win against Westborough, and a 4-1 triumph over Natick<\/a>, who held a spot in the Top 20 last week. <\/p>\n

Also making the cut was No. 19 Manchester Essex, which posted an impressive 3-2 victory over No. 9 Andover<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n

With the postseason here, the top of the Globe Top 20 boys\u2019 tennis poll remains largely the same. Top-ranked Lexington closed out an undefeated regular season with 5-0 wins over Arlington and No. 15 Belmont. <\/p>\n

Second-ranked Westford posted multiple impressive victories, topping No. 5 Lincoln-Sudbury, 3-2<\/a>, on Saturday, and Belmont, 4-1<\/a>, on Tuesday to clinch an undefeated season of their own. <\/p>\n

Lincoln-Sudbury jumped up one spot after taking down No. 6 Weston, 3-2, on Tuesday, while Concord-Carlisle slipped three spots with 4-1 losses to Weston and No. 3 St. John\u2019s Prep. <\/p>\n

Eighth-ranked Winchester had a stellar week, posting victories against No. 16 BC High and No. 15 Belmont. Bishop Feehan headlines the new arrivals after a close loss to BC High<\/a> and a 3-2 triumph<\/a> over Mid-Wach power Shrewsbury.<\/p>\n
