Viewers will have a greater choice of match coverage through the BBC iPlayer.

Free-to-air coverage of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland men’s football

Meanwhile, the BBC has extended its rights agreement with UEFA for a further two years. It means every Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland senior men’s international football match remains live and free-to-air until June 2028. Free-to-air coverage of Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish men’s football had become a hot topic after previous rights were snapped up by Viaplay, which has since exited the UK sports market. The BBC stepped in to offer free-to-air coverage in 2025.

The new agreement will see the BBC broadcast around 60 live matches across the next two years, including this autumn’s UEFA Nations League fixtures and every European Qualifier to Euro 2028 involving the three nations.

ITV holds the equivalent rights to England games.

By: Marc Thornham

Deals with the All England Club and UEFA secure more free live sport via the BBC’s broadcast and…

[6
6934,6522,54,285
post-24983","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-wimbledon","tag-bbc","tag-feed","tag-news","tag-wimbledon
["GET
