At the National Bank Open, facilities development staff from the two federations were \u201csharing ideas.\u201d They spent a \u201cfull day sharing strategies about everything from bubbling outdoor courts to fixing old ones that have bad asphalt and no tennis programming, and how to create alliances with municipalities and partners.\u201d In 2025, \u201cmore than 6 million Canadians played tennis.\u201d That is an \u201cincrease of over a million players since 2023.\u201d In the U.S., tennis participation \u201cincreased by 1.6 million in 2025\u201d to a new high of 27.3 million total players.
