The Singles Main Draw will be played August 30-September 13 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. The Qualifying tournament will be played August 24-27 on the National Tennis Center’s field courts, with all matches free to attend during Fan Week.

Notably absent from the list is the retiring former U.S. Open champion Stan Wawrinka, who would be playing in his final Grand Slam tournament. However, there is still one more wild card yet to the named and that could go to Wawrinka. American Martin Damm is listed as one of the wild cards but he is the first player out of the main draw, based on calculations as official withdrawals have not been publicly or officially announced. Therefore, if Damm gets in, he, of course, would not need a wild card, which would open up a second wild card. It is speculated that if this happens, the wild cards would go to Wawrinka and also former U.S. Open semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov.

The official USTA press release is below..

US Open Men’s Singles Wild Cards:

MAIN DRAW

Martin Damm, 22, current world No. 94

Michael Zheng, 22, two-time reigning NCAA men’s singles champion

J.J.
