Tennis star Daniil Medvedev suffered a furious meltdown in a shocking defeat to Brandon Nakashima.<\/p>\n

The world No.7 squandered three match points and a one-set lead to lose in the third round of the Cincinnati Masters.<\/p>\n

He lost his cool along the way and smashes his racket in the LED wall behind him after a Nakashima ace rebounded and hit him in the head.<\/p>\n

Medvedev hurled his racket with so much force it caused the screen to temporarily malfunction.<\/p>\n

He also knocked over the courtside microphones.<\/p>\n

Strangely, Medvedev suffered the same fate after another serve from his opponent.<\/p>\n

Again the ball bounced back and hit the Russian in the face, who responded by smashing the ball back at the wall before kicking it.<\/p>\n

Medvedev has built a reputation for his on-court outbursts, having smashed a camera at last year\u2019s Australian Open.<\/p>\n

He also created controversy at the US Open after a photographer stepped onto court.<\/p>\n

Medvedev shouted at the umpire before trying to make the crowd boo the snapper.<\/p>\n

The match ended in defeat for the world No.1, who reacted by smashing his racket multiple times while seated next to the umpire.<\/p>\n

His racket also bore the brunt of his frustration for 40 seconds in a match he lost 6-0 6-0 to Matteo Berrettini at the Monte Carlo Masters in April.<\/p>\n

Medvedev\u2019s meltdown in Cincannati did not help him at all as he went on to lose the tie-break after failing to convert his three match points.<\/p>\n

Nakashima produced a brilliant comeback to win the tie 6-7 7-6 6-1.<\/p>\n
