We\u2019ll know more tomorrow when we have the MRI. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"poster-img\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/f46ea052b9261a2ab1f0a162dc1f4b9c\" data-sctrack=\"op-poster-img\" alt=\"Demon's classy words for Cruz Hewitt\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been bothering me for a long period of time, but felt like I had it under control.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dIt was feeling OK before the match but unfortunately one wrong movement, one landing, and something happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rybakina\u2019s shot at top spot only became possible because of Sabalenka\u2019s shock Round of 16 defeat to Sara Bejlek.<\/p>\n<p>Sabalenka, who has been world No.1 since October 2024, went into the week on 8,760 points, with Rybakina narrowly trailing on 8,316.<\/p>\n<p>Rybakina has never achieved top spot and several fans shared their sympathies after she was cruelly ruled out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWow\u2026 this is heartbreaking,\u201d wrote The Tennis Letter on X. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoping it\u2019s not an Achilles injury ahead of the U.S. Open. Hopefully she\u2019ll be okay and recover quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo matches away from the top seed, the US Open is automatically at risk.
