After her match, the American tennis<\/a> star was addressing the crowd when a fan yelled out, \u201cI\u2019m in love with the Coco.\u201d Gauff couldn\u2019t help but address the comment, which led to a hilarious interaction. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know who was saying \u2018I\u2019m in love with the Coco,\u2019 but I like that one. That was a good one,\u201d said Gauff. \u201cAnd it\u2019s the right Coco!\u201d<\/p>\n

The fan comment was a nod to the hit O.T. Genasis song from 2014, which was a trap anthem with the rapper expressing love for cocaine. Because of the timing of Gauff\u2019s interview, which came days after Nick Kyrgios announced he had tested positive for cocaine<\/a> and had been suspended, fans on social media immediately began joking that \u201cKyrgios caught a stray.\u201d<\/p>\n

There did not seem to be any malicious intent behind Gauff\u2019s comments; it was just a fun moment with the fan for their play on words with her name. That didn\u2019t stop the internet from doing what it does. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis was funny as hell in itself, but saying this while Nick just got suspended for it same week is hilarious AF<\/a>,\u201d one fan wrote on X. Another added, \u201cthe way she said \u2018its the right coco\u2019 with zero hesitation and full eye contact with the crowd is sending me she knows exactly what shes doing<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans\u2019 minds went to the same place after Gauff\u2019s comment, with another saying, \u201c\u2018The right Coco\u2019 made me laugh so hard. Kyrgios caught a stray<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was a fun, innocent moment that had the crowd and social media enjoying some late-night laughs, and hopefully that joy carries over to Saturday night when Gauff faces Sara Bejlek in the semis with a spot in Sunday\u2019s championship match on the line.
