It\u2019s been an extraordinary tournament for Jessica Pegula <\/a>who is into her second Cincinnati final. I think that\u2019s really hard to do sometimes, especially on a hard court against me.<\/p>\n \u201cI had played enough tennis the last couple days, and when I came out this morning \u2026 I didn\u2019t feel anything at all that was ailing me in the match against Amanda. It was a lot of back and forth and I think I did a good job of no matter what was happening, just staying focused on what I wanted to do to win the match.<\/p>\n \u201cI think even though we weren\u2019t serving great today in the first set, I think from the first game I was standing on top of the baseline trying to take away time and space from her, which I feel like is how I\u2019ve been successful against her more specifically on a hard court.<\/p>\n \u201cI know the conditions here. I\u2019m able to do that a little bit more than other places and that\u2019s kind of how I wanted to play. I think at the end of the day that\u2019s what I did really well all the way up until the end of the match.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile Gauff has praised his confidence as he looks ahead to a thrilling final with Pegula.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just trying to stay focused,\u201d Gauff explained to the WTA website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cSometimes you don\u2019t know if you should be aggressive and risk making mistakes.
