CINCINNATI, USA \u2013 Arthur Fils is on the verge of the world\u2019s top ten after claiming his maiden Masters 1000 title in Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

The main headline on the ATP side is Arthur Fils<\/a> claiming his first ever Masters 1000 title of his career in Cincinnati. The Frenchman produced an impressive week which culminated in claiming the title in Ohio by defeating Frances Tiafoe <\/a>in the final. As a result Fils is on the brink of the world\u2019s top ten as he has climbed up ten places to 11 in the world which is a huge boost heading into the US Open. As for Tiafoe, the American has climbed up 11 places to 12 in the world after reaching his second final in Cincinnati. Both Fils and Tiafoe have taken big steps towards potentially qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals with their weeks in Cincinnati.<\/p>\n In other ranking rises there is a four place rise for Flavio Cobolli<\/a> after reaching the Cincinnati semi-finals with the Italian at six in the world. While, Alexander Zverev <\/a>has replaced Carlos Alcaraz <\/a>as the world number two with the Spaniard set to end his long absence at the US Open. After a first Masters 1000 final in Canada and a deep run in Cincinnati, Brandon Nakashima <\/a>is up five places to 17 in the world while Hubert Hurkacz <\/a>is up 23 places to 46 in the world. There\u2019s also an eight place rise for Thiago Agustin Tirante <\/a>who reached the last 16 in Ohio and is at 42 in the world.<\/p>\n In ranking falls, Ben Shelton <\/a>fell down the rankings by three places to nine in the world. The American did successfully defend his title in Canada but took a step backwards by exiting in the opening round in Cincinnati. There was a six place fall for Andrey Rublev <\/a>who is now at six in the world. Meanwhile, Karen Khachanov <\/a>is on the verge of exiting the world\u2019s top 50 after falling down ten places to 49 in the world. The biggest fall down the rankings was for last year\u2019s semi-finalist Terence Atmane <\/a>who is down by 45 places to 90 in the world.<\/p>\n Cameron Norrie <\/a>has reclaimed his position as British number one as he rose by two places to 33 in the world while Arthur Fery <\/a>is currently at 37 in the world. There is a seven place rise for Jacob Fearnley <\/a>who returns to the world\u2019s top 100. The 20 year-old earned the biggest win of her career against world number one Aryna Sabalenka <\/a>and Bejlek backed that up by beating Madison Keys <\/a>on her way to the semi-finals where she lost to Coco Gauff<\/a>. As a result of that run to the last four, Bejlek has risen up the rankings by six places to 29 in the world and will now be seeded for the US Open. As for Gauff, the American claimed the title in Cincinnati by defeating Jessica Pegula <\/a>and is now at four in the world.<\/p>\n In ranking rises, Linda Noskova <\/a>is up two places to six in the world while Diane Parry <\/a>is up 16 places to 50 in the world after an impressive tournament. The highest riser inside the world\u2019s top 100 is Xiyu Wang <\/a>who is up 26 places in the world at 82 as she makes her return to the world\u2019s top 100 while Daria Kasatkina <\/a>makes a return to the world\u2019s top 60, climbing up nine places to 59 in the world.<\/p>\n In ranking falls, Iga Swiatek <\/a>is down three places to number eight in the world after failing to defend her Cincinnati title despite winning the title in Canada. There is a five place fall for Jasmine Paolini <\/a>who is now at 20 in the world. There was also a 16 place fall for Magda Linette <\/a>at 78 in the world while Antonia Ruzic <\/a>is down 20 places to 81 in the world.<\/p>\n As for the Brits Katie Boulter <\/a>has replaced Emma Raducanu <\/a>as the British number one with Boulter climbing up 11 places to 60 in the world. Meanwhile, Raducanu is down nine places to 68 in the world.
