While Medvedev won just 2 of 4 points when he was at the net, Damm won 20 of his 28 advances. Damm also never dropped his serve, saving both break points he faced.<\/p>\n<p>No. 2 seed Luciano Darderi of Italy and No. 3 seed Ignacio Buse of Peru were pushed to three sets before winning their second-round matches while No. 4 seed Arthur Fery of Great Britain needed just two sets.<\/p>\n<p>Belgium\u2019s Raphael Collignon, the No. 5 seed, and Argentina\u2019s Mariano Navone, the No. 6 seed, did not survive the second round.
