However, Van De Zandschulp scored some good wins over Daniil Medvedev and Hubert Hurkacz over this hard court season. That will give the world number 70 some momentum heading into the US Open where he has some good memories including a quarter-final as well as beating Carlos Alcaraz a couple of years ago.

Choinski will be aggressive on serve and will use the backhand to pin Van De Zandschulp behind the baseline. Meanwhile, Van De Zandschulp will create angles on the forehand side and will approach the net to finish points off quickly. This is a match between two big servers who like to dictate play. It’s a winnable match for Choinski but he is coming up against a player that loves to play at the US Open.

Prediction: Van De Zandschulp in four sets.

How to Watch/Follow US Open 2026

By Tony Fairbairn Jan Choinski v Botic Van De Zandschulp H2H: First Meeting NEW YORK, USA – Jan…

[2
7620,396,28,463
post-61803","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news","tag-botic-van-de-zandschulp","tag-jan-choinski","tag-tennis","tag-us-open
["GET
