Replicating last year’s success will not be easy for Felix, and supporting him from the player’s box is his family, particularly his father, Sam, and wife, Nina Ghaibi.<\/p>\n
Auger-Aliassime ended his 10-year partnership with coach Frederic Fontang in July, and since then, he has been traveling with his family at tournaments. His wife, Nina, has been a key source of support, while his father, Sam, who was also his first tennis coach, has been helping guide him tactically at the US Open.<\/p>\n
Who Is Felix Auger-Aliassime’s Wife?<\/p>\n
Nina Ghaibi is an equestrian who represents Morocco and has been by Felix’s side since 2019. She has attended countless tournaments to support the Canadian throughout his career.<\/p>\n
Nina comes from a multicultural background. Her mother is Croatian, while her father, Karim Ghaibi, is from Morocco and is an international show-jumping equestrian athlete. Growing up around horses, Nina eventually followed in her father’s footsteps and began representing Morocco in equestrian events.<\/p>\n
She also has a connection to professional tennis, as she is the first cousin of WTA player Ajla Tomljanovic.<\/p>\n
How Did Felix Auger-Aliassime Meet Nina Ghaibi?<\/p>\n
The couple’s relationship began in 2019, although Felix had reportedly noticed Nina at a tournament as early as 2018. The Canadian has described it as love at first sight after spotting her and eventually striking up a conversation.<\/p>\n
The two have remained together ever since, with Nina becoming a regular presence at Felix’s tournaments and an important part of his support system on tour.<\/p>\n
After five years of dating, Felix proposed to Nina in November 2024 during a romantic sunset getaway in the Seychelles.<\/p>\n
The couple married on September 20, 2025, just two weeks after the US Open. They hosted an intimate wedding with 120 guests at the luxury Selman Marrakech hotel in Morocco.<\/p>\n
Felix wore a custom Dior suit for the occasion, while his groomsmen included some of his closest childhood friends from the Tennis Canada training circuit, including Davis Cup teammate Vasek Pospisil.<\/p>\n
With his coaching setup undergoing a major change this year, Auger-Aliassime has leaned heavily on the people who have been with him throughout his tennis journey. His father and wife now have an even more visible role in his team as he looks to build on his breakthrough US Open run from a year ago.<\/p>\n
