It has not been smooth sailing for Alexander Zverev at the U.S. Open. <\/p>\n

Zverev was down two sets to one against Italy\u2019s Lorenzo Sonego<\/a> in the tournament\u2019s first round before producing a comeback win. The German star also went a full five sets against France\u2019s Quentis Halys<\/a> in the second round before dominating Alejandro Tabilo in the third round.<\/p>\n

Now Zverev faces Italy\u2019s Luciano Darderi in the Round of 16 on Monday, with the winner advancing to the U.S. Open quarterfinals. <\/p>\n

While Zverev\u2019s girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla<\/a>, isn\u2019t as active on social media as she used to be, she made several posts showing she was with Zverev in New York before the tournament began and is probably still there while he plays through the tournament.<\/p>\n

When Thomalla is posting on social media, it\u2019s usually to promote \u201cAre You The One?\u201d, the German dating show she serves as host.<\/p>\n

She did so once again with an Instagram post over the weekend, which showed her wearing a daring red\/orange dress. <\/p>\n

\u201cDressed for the challenge, obviously \ud83d\udc85\u2764\ufe0f,\u201d the post was captioned, along with a link to the \u201cAre You The One?\u201d Instagram account. <\/p>\n

Zverev won the first major tournament of his career at the French Open earlier this year. And with Jannik Sinner not competing in the U.S. Open, Zverev\u2019s chances to win a second major are about as solid as they can get.<\/p>\n
