An Anadolu compilation of EMRA data showed that Azerbaijan has held the top spot in Türkiye’s June pipeline gas imports since 2023.

Azerbaijan supplied around 744 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas to Türkiye in June 2023, around 997 mcm in June 2024 and 1.02 billion cubic meters (bcm) in June 2025. In June 2026, its pipeline gas supplies stood at around 1.01 bcm.

The June ranking marked a shift from the first five months of 2026, when Russia was Türkiye’s largest pipeline gas supplier in each month from January through May.

In June, Azerbaijan ranked first with 1.01 bcm, followed by Iran with 883 mcm, while Russia fell to third place with 882 mcm.

Türkiye’s total natural gas imports decreased by 6.19% in June compared to the same month last year, falling to around 3.06 bcm from 3.26 bcm in June 2025.

Out of the total imports, around 2.78 bcm was delivered via pipelines, while 282 mcm was imported as liquefied natural gas (LNG).
