CAIRO – 20 August 2026: Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Information Service, received Ambassador Saleh Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Cairo, Thursday.
Their meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Turkey in the media field.
Ambassador Youssef emphasized that Egyptian-Turkish relations are witnessing remarkable development, given the historical ties and shared interests that bind the two countries, as well as the increasing coordination in bilateral relations.
He noted that the shared vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has contributed to propelling relations between the two countries towards broader horizons and strengthening avenues of joint cooperation in various fields.
Ambassador Youssef reviewed the State Information Service’s efforts in developing its media services and leveraging digital platforms and social media to convey an accurate image of Egypt both domestically and internationally.
He highlighted the development efforts and national projects underway in various sectors, in addition to providing the necessary facilities for the work of foreign media outlets and correspondents.
For his part, Ambassador Saleh Mutlu Şen affirmed that Turkey values Egypt’s important role in the region and its influential regional and international standing.
He commended Egypt’s efforts in supporting stability, peace, and the resolution of regional crises, noting the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries on various issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Mutlu Şen emphasized the importance of media coverage in supporting Egyptian-Turkish relations, strengthening mutual understanding between the two peoples, and highlighting the development of bilateral relations across various fields, thus contributing to consolidating cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
