President of Türkiye receives OTS Secretary General ahead of 13th OTS Summit
AKIPRESS.COM – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in Ankara ahead of the 13th OTS Summit, scheduled to take place on 30 October 2026 under the theme “Turkic Century: Unity in Language, Thought and Deed.”
During the meeting, the Secretary General and President Erdoğan discussed preparations for the upcoming Summit, Türkiye’s forthcoming assumption of the Chairmanship of the Organization, and priorities for further advancing cooperation and integration across the Turkic World.
Secretary General Omuraliev expressed his sincere appreciation to President Erdoğan for Türkiye’s steadfast support for the OTS and its leading role in strengthening solidarity, unity and cooperation among the Turkic States.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the progress achieved by the Organization in recent years and exchange views on its future priorities.
As he approaches the completion of his four-year tenure, Secretary General Omuraliev conveyed his profound gratitude to President Erdoğan for the valuable support extended to him and the OTS Secretariat throughout his term of office.
The Secretary General reaffirmed his confidence that the forthcoming Ankara Summit, marking the beginning of Türkiye’s Chairmanship, would open a new chapter in the Organization’s continued development and further strengthen cooperation among the brotherly Turkic States.
