T\u00fcrkiye produced 23.1 million barrels of oil<\/a> and more than 1.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas<\/a> in the first half of 2026, with the Gabar<\/a> and Sakarya<\/a> fields accounting for most of the output, the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry said.<\/p>\n

State-run Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) produced 21.8 million barrels of oil during the period.<\/p>\n

The Gabar field accounted for 60 percent of the country\u2019s total production.<\/p>\n

Natural gas output reached 1.641 billion cubic meters, of which TPAO produced 1.608 billion cubic meters.<\/p>\n

Private companies supplied the remaining 33 million cubic meters, while the Sakarya Gas Field in the Black Sea accounted for 92 percent of the total.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are increasing our oil production through new wells at Gabar, while this year we will double our natural gas production in the Black Sea,\u201d Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur domestic oil and natural gas production will continue to rise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bayraktar said T\u00fcrkiye was also expanding its exploration and production activities abroad.
