The meeting aims to discuss the latest political developments and regional security issues. This initiative reflects the four capitals’ commitment to coordinating their positions on pressing regional matters.

The ministry explained in an official statement that this meeting comes within the framework of ongoing consultations and close cooperation between the four countries.

It noted that the agreement on the date and location of the meeting was the culmination of intensive communications. Among the most prominent of these communications was the telephone call between Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. Despite announcing the meeting’s location, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry did not specify the exact date. However, it confirmed that the meeting would take place sometime this month.

The Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense tops the agenda of regional talks.

Press and political reports indicate that the meeting will pay particular attention to Egypt’s position regarding the possibility of joining the “Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense.” This interest follows the official signing of the agreement by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan earlier this month. Cairo is still considering the steps for joining.

These discussions are of paramount importance given the concerted efforts to enhance security and military coordination among major regional powers. This comes at a time of rapid developments in the region. Through these agreements and initiatives, participating countries seek to establish the foundations of security and stability. They also aim to address shared challenges through effective institutional frameworks for cooperation.

This upcoming meeting in Istanbul is a continuation of the “R-4” group meetings, which bring together the foreign ministers of the four countries.

The group held its fifth meeting in Amman, Jordan, on August 5, 2026. The ministers discussed a complex range of regional issues and files. At the conclusion of their meetings, they emphasized the urgent need for continued bilateral and collective consultation and coordination to maintain regional security and stability.

The Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense tops the agenda of regional talks.Continuation of “R-4” group meetings to promote…

[4
567,468,408,29,18263,1167,1332,12176,84,1705,178,2495
post-41458","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-istanbul","tag-america","tag-iran","tag-israel","tag-istanbul","tag-makkah-agreement","tag-pakistan","tag-saudi-arabia","tag-the-middle-east","tag-turkey","tag-us","tag-voice-of-emirates","tag-voice-of-emirates-website-news
["GET
