\u00a0Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held separate phone calls with his Egyptian and Saudi counterparts to discuss problems affecting the implementation of the Gaza<\/a> peace plan<\/a> and recent developments in Syria.<\/p>\n

Fidan said on X that he spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan as part of T\u00fcrkiye<\/a>\u2019s diplomatic contacts on regional developments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe assessed the problems that have emerged in implementing the Gaza peace plan and the steps we can take,\u201d Fidan said.<\/p>\n

The ministers also discussed recent developments in Syria and reiterated their strong support for efforts to establish peace and stability in the country.<\/p>\n

The calls also covered the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the latest stage of negotiations between the countries involved in the dispute.<\/p>\n

Fidan said T\u00fcrkiye, Egypt<\/a> and Saudi Arabia<\/a> would continue to strengthen their cooperation and coordination across all areas.<\/p>\n

The calls followed an unprecedented aerial attack by Israel to Syria\u2019s Abu Duhur airbase in Idlib province of Syria on Aug. 18, which aimed to destroy the already abandoned military facility\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Israel has targeted Syria many times after the collapse of the Assad rule, especially in the southern provinces of the country on the pretext of the protection of Durzi communities.<\/p>\n
