Celtic face a big week as Brendan Rodgers looks to close out the Scottish Premiership season in style.

Celtic’s next two fixtures see the Bhoys take on Aberdeen tonight and then St Mirren at Parkhead for the end of season Trophy Day.

With the Scottish Cup final coming up, Celtic’s players know that they are playing for a starting spot in the showpiece Hampden finale.

Brendan Rodgers has told his players that they cannot drop their levels and looking at the Celtic training footage released from Lennoxtown, that’s exactly what they are not doing.

So with that in mind, here are three things we spotted from Celtic’s training session before the Aberdeen fixture up at Pittodrie.

Celtic look set to welcome back Alistair Johnston after the Canadian missed the last two games through injury.

Anthony Ralston has done well deputising in Celtic’s draw at Rangers and in the win against Hibs at the weekend.

In the footage Johnston can be seen looking sharp in sprint and passing drills as he looks good after a two week lay-off.

Cameron Carter-Vickers missed the training session and will not play any part in the Aberdeen match as Rodgers told Celtic FC YouTube, “Cam would miss this game, but hopefully, he will be okay for the weekend.”

Young Celtic forward Samuel Isiguzo joins the first-team training session

Sean McArdle was, of course, included in the training session after the youngster made his Celtic debut against Hibs.

However, one of his Celtic B teammates also took part yesterday as Rodgers put young Samuel Isiguzo through his paces.

The 18-year-old forward has made 13 appearances for the B team scoring four goals and creating one.

Isiguzo has also played a big part in Celtic’s UEFA Youth League campaign with six appearances and one goal.

Described as a versatile forward, the youngster signed his first professional deal in 2023 and now could be set to make his first-team debut before the season ends.
