A pair of scenic pub walks have been named among the UK’s best Sunday strolls.
The Alfriston and Cuckmere Valley walk and the Arlington Reservoir route, both in Sussex, featured in the top 10 ‘Sunday strolls’ compiled by outdoor experts at GO Outdoors.
Each route ends at a highly rated pub serving a traditional roast.
The Arlington Reservoir walk, which came third with a score of 9.5 out of 10, finishes at The Yew Tree Inn in Arlington.
The route loops around the reservoir along grassy paths and pastureland, passing fields of grazing sheep and horses.

The Alfriston and Cuckmere Valley walk placed eighth, ending at The George Inn in Alfriston.
Both pubs were rated 4.1 out of 5.
Natalie Wolfenden, an author and hiking enthusiast at GO Outdoors, said: “Pacing your day properly can make all the difference, especially when you’re combining a walk with a meal at the end.
“Leaving enough time to finish at a relaxed pace means you can arrive ready to enjoy your meal, rather than rushing the last stretch or cutting the route short.”
Topping the list was the Padley Gorge Circular walk in the Peak District, finishing at The Grouse Inn, with a score of 9.87 out of 10.
