Post-Brexit restrictions on UK financial services employees working in the EU are hampering productivity in both jurisdictions, a leading industry body has warned, calling for a fresh agreement for friction-free travel and short-term employment arrangements.

UK Finance and law firm Freshfields are calling for a new bilateral agreement to allow UK financial services employees to work in the EU for a short period of time without requiring a special visa, scrapping the current requirement for a work permit.
