VENUE’S LICENCE SUSPENDED AHEAD OF FULL REVIEW BY CITY COUNCILLORS
MAJOR trouble erupted outside a Birmingham nightspot as more than 100 people used glass bottles and other items as weapons against police.
It happened in John Bright Street in the city centre as revellers left the nearby ‘King of Clubs’ in neighbouring Hill Street at around 10.30pm on Saturday, May 23.
A mob grabbed bottles and other objects and threw them at police.
There was also said to have been evidence of drug taking. Now the club has been temporarily closed pending a full review.
