Capcom plans to release two major updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the very near, and relatively near future.
This news comes off the back of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen being announced — a huge expansion that’s dropping in October.
The first patch releases tomorrow at the time of writing — that’s the 10th June. While the second update is scheduled for the end of August.
Both patches are promising improvements to the base experience, and they do sound like they could be pretty significant.

- Fast travel / movement adjustments
- Additions / adjustments of options
- UI improvements
- Pawn adjustments
- Reward adjustments
- Text adjustments
- Shop adjustments
- Bug fixes
I assume that more in-depth patch notes will be released alongside the update itself.
Updates to Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be rolling out over the coming months on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC!

Meanwhile, August’s patch will feature performance enhancements and “action adjustments”, among other changes.
To me, it looks as though Capcom is going to try and polish the existing Dragon’s Dogma 2 experience as much as it can before Dark Arisen drops. Which is wild when you stop to consider that the RPG is over two years old at this point.
Indeed, many fans had given up hope on Dragon’s Dogma 2 ever getting another update — never mind a major DLC. But the developer has clearly been cooking.
