One driver died and a second driver was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in New London on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the area of Phillips Street and Fourth Avenue in New London around 12:02 p.m. on Tuesday for a reported motor vehicle crash involving injuries, according to the New London Police Department.
Arriving officers located two drivers who were involved in the crash. Police said one driver was unresponsive, while the other was alert and conscious.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital. According to police, the unresponsive driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Their identity was not released at this time.
