Leeds United could be offered a route to allow Jack Harrison a permanent transfer exit from Elland Road this summer.

The Whites’ chairman Paraag Marathe has already outlined that the club will be weighing up exits from the first team this summer. New ‘Squad Cost Ratio’ rules mean that maximising our budget through sales is a must over the coming months.

Of course, fringe players surplus to requirements will be the first on the chopping block. It’s then up to Leeds to find exits that suit all parties.

Of those that Leeds should be looking to sale, there won’t be a single complaint if Jack Harrison was out of the door early in the summer.

Last pre-season in 2025, Harrison was reintegrated after our promotion and was made well aware of what Leeds fans thought of him. Boos rang around whenever he entered the field, having scuttled off on loan twice during our time in the Championship.

Now, Harrison is due to return from his hit-and-miss loan spell with Fiorentina. However, he could end up leaving the club soon with an MLS return on the cards.

A report from The Blazing Musket claims that MLS outfit New England Revolution are considering a move to sign the left-footed winger.

The report in question doesn’t go into too much detail. But, it was previously claimed by the YEP in 2025 that Harrison had interest from across the Atlantic, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see this materialise during the summer months.

Let’s not beat around the bush. There’s barely a soul affiliated with Leeds that wants Harrison here anymore, and I include the player himself in that.

He was a favourite before relegation. But, he has completely burned his bridges and we need to see the back of him permanently.

A return to the MLS makes a lot of sense for all parties. He’d likely be a ‘designated player’ transfer, meaning New England Revolution could pay him his lofty wage demands without breaking their salary cap.

And for Harrison, he’s going to a league where he could thrive again. He broke through in America and would likely be receptive to those sorts of offers.
