
Drawing thousands of participants worldwide each year, the ride is described as a protest against car culture, oil dependency, and a call for better safety for cyclists on the roads.
So if you want to take part, take it in (or steer well clear), here is everything that you need to know.
When is the World Naked Bike Ride happening in London?
The ride is taking place on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
It has previously taken place on a Saturday, but due to increased traffic, events, road closures, diversions, protests and the annual Trooping the Colour increasingly making the ride harder to run smoothly, it has switched to Sunday.
Do you need to sign up to take part?
In short, no. According to the organisers, you just need to be in the right place at the right time with a bike to ride. So head to one of the nine start points to take part.
Where does Naked Bike Ride start in London and what is the route?
Cyclists head into central London from various starting points, merging into one group from Westminster Bridge onwards.
The nine starting points and start times are listed below.
Some of them have painting stations, that help people add a splash of colour to their birthday suit, or protect their modesty.
Meeting point: Grant Road, SW11 2NU
Meeting point: 233 Shirley Church Road, CR0 5AB
Assemble to ride at 12:30pm to ride at 12.45pm.
Body paint station? Yes (between 11.30am to 12.30pm)
Meeting point: Piehouse Co-op, Arches 213 & 214, Edward St, SE8 5HD
Prepare to ride at 13:15, for a 13:30 departure.
Meeting point: Thingy Cafe, 1 Trowbridge Rd, E9 5LD
Body paint station? Yes (10.30am – 11.30am and 12noon – 1pm)
Meeting point: North end of Kew Bridge near W4 3NQ

Wellington Arch / Hyde Park Corner

Organisers say the accessible start provides an easier route for people with accessibility needs or restricted ability to keep up with the ride.
Meeting point: near Forum Magnum Square, SE1 7GQ (wait for other riders from other routes to arrive there before joining the ride)

What happens when the ride ends?
Riders will have to make their way home, and there is also a clothing optional afterparty at The Steel Yard, 13-16 Allhallows Lane, EC4R 3UE from 6pm until 11pm.
As well as food, and drink, there will also be entertainment and life drawing taster sessions that will kick off at 8pm.
The ride has rules around behaviour, and says it employs professional security personnel to help keep participants and spectators safe and legal.
