Manchester United’s preparations for the Europa League final next week are underway with some interesting faces in training.
Ruben Amorim has a game this Friday against Chelsea to prepare for, yet we imagine that all eyes will be on Wednesday’s clash with Tottenham over in Bilbao at the San Mames stadium.
Preparations for the Europa League final will be taking priority for Manchester United, with the one game set to define the season and potentially next season considering the importance on Champions League football.
United are unbeaten on the route to the final, and are coming off a stunning 7-1 aggregate thumping of Athletic Club Bilbao in the semi-finals and ahead of the game next week, there is positive injury news.
One returning face was Diogo Dalot who is now battling to get fit for the final as he was back in training at Carrington on Wednesday. Elsewhere, Leny Yoro was spotted undertaking a personal session as he looks to bounce back from injury to feature.
But there were other interesting players involved.

Not only were there senior players returning for United, but Amorim once again called youth team players into training, with the academy season concluded it points to their involvement at some point that they are still here.
Journalist Nathan Salt was at Carrington on Wednesday and spotted several academy players in training.
- James Overy
- Victor Musa
- Godwill Kukonki
- James Scanlon
- Jaydan Kamason
He also added there were more involved, with these likely the be the usual names like Bendito Mantato and others, not including Harry Amass and Chido Obi who are first teamers.
In particular it was interesting to see Overy called up by Amorim for the first time, with the 18-year-old having had a slow start to life at Old Trafford with injuries seeing him struggle to settle during his first season after arriving from Perth.
Overy ended the season with some strong performances and next season is when we expect to see him begin to shine.

Who is Manchester United youngster James Overy?
Overy is an Australian born right back who currently plays for United’s youth teams after arriving for free in 2024 as part of Ineos’ first summer transfer window.
After moving to United, Overy against representing Australia and instead chose Scotland for whom he is capped twice already at U19 level.
When he joined, Overy was an exciting addition for United and he remains so as he is now expected to kick on, being fully settled at the club.
In terms of breaking into United’s first team, Overy faces steep competition in Kamason and Mantato, with both above him however, clearly Amorim wanted to get a closer look.
Perhaps Amorim is lining Overy up for pre-season involvement, as he is unlikely to play a role in the final three games of the season.
