LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – Laurel County deputies are investigating a drowning that happened Saturday afternoon, about 11 miles west of London.
The sheriff’s office got a call to conduct a welfare check regarding a body discovered floating face down in the river.
Authorities have identified the victim as 56-year-old Terry Vickers from London.
Investigators believe the cause of death was drowning. There is no word as to what caused Vickers to drown.
The investigation remains ongoing.
