A ‘petrified’ kitten was found dumped in a dustbin behind a restaurant in Oldham on Sunday (June 14). The horrifying discovery was made before RSPCA rescuers were called in.
The Tameside and Glossop branch said that the small black kitten was ‘wet through’ and ‘exhausted’ when it was found hungry and cowering in a bin inside a shed. It was found behind a restaurant in Uppermill.
A picture posted online showed the small black cat looking up at the camera from inside the bin surrounded by rubbish. It will now be cared for overnight before being checked by vets.

A post shared by the RSPCA read: “Today’s cat of the day [angry face emoji]. This kitten has been dumped in a dustbin in a shed behind one of the restaurants in Uppermill.
“It’s wet through, exhausted, petrified and hungry. Sometimes there are just no words
“Tomorrow, once it has settled down, we will clean it up, flea and worm it and then in a couple of days, get it full vet checked. Everything can be done a little bit at a time.”
Those on social media reacted to the post, as one person commented: “No words for the heartless creature who dumped it in a bin. Thank god it was found,” as another wrote: “Poor dear little kitten. How can anyone be so wicked?”
