Europe’s first contemporary art fair Drawing Now Paris dedicated exclusively to drawing returns to Le Carreau du Temple, Paris, from 18 to 21 March 2027.
Drawing Now Paris has opened applications for its 20th anniversary edition, inviting French and international galleries to apply for the 2027 fair. The landmark edition will take place from 18 to 21 March 2027 at Le Carreau du Temple in Paris, with online applications open until 25 September 2026, inclusive.
Founded in 2007 by Christine Phal and Carine Tissot, Drawing Now Paris is the first contemporary art fair in Europe devoted exclusively to drawing. Over two decades, it has traced and supported the medium’s evolution, championing new generations of artists while helping to secure contemporary drawing’s place among collectors, institutions and art professionals internationally.
The 20th edition will continue this work with more than 70 French and international galleries, presenting artists whose practices range from the rediscovery of historical figures to the most experimental approaches in contemporary art. Through exhibitions, performances, professional meetings and conferences, the fair will underline the breadth of contemporary drawing today and reaffirm its role as a leading platform for contemporary creation.

For 2027, the fair will be structured around three sectors. General is dedicated to established galleries and renowned artists; Process / Digital focuses on experimental, performative, interdisciplinary and digital practices; and Inception is reserved for emerging scenes and new generations, with a preferential rate supported by Drawing Society.
Drawing Now Paris is also placing renewed emphasis on solo presentations. Galleries are invited to submit a monographic project as part of their application. Selected solo shows will receive enhanced visibility within the fair, alongside a dedicated editorial interview with the artist.
The Drawing Now Award, supported by Conté à Paris, remains open to all applicant galleries. For 2027, a new requirement has been introduced: eligible projects must dedicate at least 30% of the stand space to the proposed artist, with no restrictions regarding focus or generation.
Since its inception, Drawing Now Paris has entrusted the selection of exhibiting galleries to an independent committee made up of leading figures from the fields of contemporary art and contemporary drawing.
