A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an alleged hit and run in East Bristol.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to Oxford Place in Easton at around 11am on Friday, June 12.
A man in his 20s remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital as police have this morning (June 16) shared a significant update in their investigation.
Four people have been arrested in connection to the incident, police said, including a 17-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Three others, aged in their 20s to 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and all four remain in police custody as their enquiries continue.
The family of the injured man continue to be updated, added the police.
The force said initial enquiries suggest the crash came after an altercation between two groups of men.
The injured man is understood to have arrived at the location in a sliver/grey Seat Leon.
He was on foot when injured in a crash with a black Mini Cooper, where police said the driver failed to stop and drove the car away in the direction of Stapleton Road and St Marks.
A second man who had also arrived in the Seat Leon, sustained minor physical injuries.
The force add they believe the incident to be isolated and do not consider there to be a wider risk to the public.
The force are asking the public to check dashcam, CCTV or other footage, particularly for a 08-registration black Mini Cooper on Friday afternoon in East Bristol.
