Police say that enquiries into the death of Caroline Jones are ongoing

The family of a woman allegedly murdered at a property in Monmouthshire earlier this month have said they are “devastated”. Caroline Jones, 52, was found dead by police at an address at Green Lane, Caldicot, on Thursday, June 4.
A murder investigation has since been launched and a 50-year-old man from Caldicot, who was known to Ms Jones, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has since been detained under the Mental Health Act, a spokesperson for Gwent Police confirmed in a statement published on Thursday, June 18.
In a brief statement Ms Jones’ family said they are “devastated” at her death and have asked for privacy. They said: “As a family we are devastated by the loss of Caroline and how her life was cut tragically short. We ask for privacy and respect at this difficult time.”
A police spokesperson added: “Enquiries are ongoing into Caroline’s death. If you have any information that may be useful to the investigation, you can contact us by calling 101, sending a direct message on social media or via the form on our website and quoting log reference 2600174602.”
