Residents living in certain areas of Birmingham may see delays to household waste collections today, Thursday, May 15, following ‘disruption’ at two bin depots.
But Birmingham City Council urged residents to leave their bins out; promising the authority would empty them “as soon as possible”.
The council blamed ongoing action at Kings Norton and Tyseley bin depots.

The BBC reported this morning that bin lorries were once again being blocked by striking refuse workers from leaving the waste depots.
It said striking workers had restarted their go-slow tactics which sees them delaying trucks from leaving the sites.

Those living in central, south and east areas of Birmingham were the most likely to be affected by the disruption.
