Crews from Hay Mills, Ward End, Highgate, Solihull, Aston and Erdington were called to Garretts Green Lane in the Garrett’s Green area of Birmingham at 1.30pm after receiving reports of the fire.

Six fire engines, a hydraulic platform and a 4×4 brigade response vehicle arrived at the scene and worked to tackle the blaze, while the road was closed off to allow crews to work.

While the fire was still ongoing, the crews were able to make enough progress to allow three engines to leave the scene at 3.55pm, while it was also reported that there were no casualties or injuries.
