INDIE icons Kasabian were on FIRE last night with an incredible performance that turned up the heat after a slow start to this year’s TRNSMT.

The Leicester rockers brought a roasting Day Two at the Glasgow Green bash to a close after a lacklustre Friday was hit with torrential rain and a poor turnout.

Frontman Serge Pizzorno, 48, strutted across the stage in a leopard print fur coat before whipping it off to reveal a denim jacket with a white skeleton on the back.

The band opened their set with anthem Club Foot before tearing into tracks like You’re in Love With A Psycho as the crowd chanted along.

The band have racked up seven consecutive number one albums, with their highly anticipated next record, ACT III, due out on July 17.

Noughties rockers The Fratellis lifted the energy with their rendition of the unofficial Scotland national anthem Yes, Sir I Can Boogie which sent fans jumping and Saltires flying in the air.

The Glasgow band had the home crowd bouncing with iconic anthems like Whistle for the Choir and their 2006 mega-hit Chelsea Dagger.

The performance comes as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their iconic debut album Costello Music this year.

Meanwhile, Aussie DJ Sonny Fodera, 39, had the main stage crowd jumping earlier in the night as he ran through a masterclass of dance anthems.

The hitmaker got hands in the air with massive tracks like Somedays and Let Me Be in Your Arms.

And he sent the arena into absolute meltdown when he brought out special guest singer Poppy Baskcomb to belt out hit single Think About Us.

It comes after the superstar producer racked up massive success remixing for the likes of Calvin Harris, Ella Eyre and Diplo.

And West Lothian indie favourites The Snuts hailed the rowdy crowd as “beautiful” during their afternoon set.

Frontman Jack Cochrane, 29, tried to help heal the nation’s football heartbreak by leading thousands of fans in a passionate chant of “Super John McGinn”.

The chart-toppers played a set of their top tunes, including their iconic anthem Glasgow and Summer Rain.

Last night, cops revealed that six people were arrested in connection with a variety of alleged offences on the first day.

Two teens, aged 16, were charged with alleged assault, while another two revellers, aged 16 and 17, were charged in connection with drug offences.

A 42-year-old man was arrested over claims he flew a drone on the site, and a 38-year-old man was arrsted in connection with road traffic offences.
