Officers are now appealing to trace two youths seen at the time on an electric bike.

A teen has been rushed to hospital after being ‘seriously assaulted’ in Cambuslang.

Emergency services rushed to the Scalloway Road area at around 9.20pm on Saturday, June 20, following reports of the incident. Police say that a 17-year-old male was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment – his condition is unknown.

Officers are now appealing to trace two youths seen at the time on an electric bike. The rider of the bike was wearing a black top, black bottoms and black trainers at the time of the incident. The other youth was wearing a black top, black bottoms and white Nike trainers.

Detective Constable Stephanie Tierney said: “We are asking anyone in the area at the time of this assault to get in touch if they saw something that could help with our investigation. “We are also asking the youths on the electric bike to make contact with us as they could have information that might assist.”
